The facade features rich architectural precast cladding which emulates natural French limestone and appears seamless in integration with the building’s natural stone base. Deep window returns, elegant cornices and rustications enhance the exterior; however, the rotunda remains the showstopper with its tight radius spandrel panels. GATE Precast also provided the façades for two neighboring residential buildings, The Belvedere and The Pearson. Constructed in 2004, Residences of Lake Shore Drive is still in the top ten of the most expensive residential buildings in Chicago showcasing the resilient nature of our façade systems.
