10 Dec Former McWane Hall reopens at Lynchburg College
The University of Lynchburg, VA recently rebuilt, reopened, and renamed former McWane Residence Hall as “Westover Hall”, paying tribute to Westover Honors College that is housed in the building. Lynchburg College’s campus improvement plan included the demolition of the dilapidated McWane Hall, making way for the redesigned four-story student living and learning space. GATE’s Oxford, NC facility supplied hollowcore planks for the flooring and roof system on the new building to meet tight construction site and scheduling demands. See the installation photos of the hollowcore, as well as the before and after shots of the building provided in the link below. Thanks to Dominion Seven Architects, Cooper Carry, Dunbar Milby Williams Pittman & Vaughan, Jamerson-Lewis Construction, and the University of Lynchburg for having us on your team!
