Stormwater Outfalls

Stormwater Outfalls

A multi-phase project to replace aging infrastructure along the beaches in Biloxi, MS, began with three storm water outfall structures clad with architectural precast concrete. These structures, which extend into the water, aid in coastal protection and improve the aesthetic quality of the storm drains, ensuring proper storm water runoff from Highway 90 and surrounding areas into the Mississippi Sound.

GATE Precast worked with the design team to ensure the panels were detailed to withstand potential wave surge and assisted in the design of the gray-and-tan wave patterns in the panels to blend into the beach. The color patterns flow with spontaneity like the rolling waves of the Mississippi Sound.
