University of North Florida Biological Sciences Building

University of North Florida Biological Sciences Building

The University of North Florida’s (UNF) Biological Sciences Building is a 117,000 square-foot facility, which varies from two to four levels. The building’s pre-insulated precast concrete façade at the two-story portion of the building displays key words from the school’s biological sciences mission statement appearing routed within the precast concrete; such as “research,” “teaching,” and “life”. The building is LEED Gold certified with a design emphasis on energy conservation. The relief patterns in the brick inlay architectural panels are created with three different brick face planes traveling along two elevations of the building.
