Patricia Louise Frost Music Studios, University of Miami

In both its design and construction, the Patricia Louise Frost Music Studios at the University of Miami exemplifies resiliency. The project became the first music school in the United States to achieve LEED Platinum. Among its sustainable features is the use of self-cleaning TX Active photocatalytic cement in the prefabrication of the architectural concrete facade system. This innovative and sustainable cement mixture keeps surfaces clean and abates the organic and inorganic substances responsible for air pollution.

The precast concrete facade system used on the Patricia Louise Frost Music Studios better prepares the University to absorb and recover from disruptive events including natural disasters that are common in South Florida.
