Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land

Smart Financial Centre is a state-of-the-art, indoor performance venue located 22 miles from downtown Houston in Sugar Land, TX. The 200,000 SF facility is designed for flexibility with movable walls that expand and contract to create different seating configurations that range from 1,900 seats to 6,400 seats. The balcony seating tiers were constructed with precast concrete planks that span between steel rakers. The custom-designed planks feature an architectural-type finish with troweled front edges. Fabricating the planks off-site and delivering them to the site, saved on labor, materials and time.

Additionally, precast concrete was selected for its ability to control quality from materials to consolidation to curing, which yields a durable, modular and easily replicated product. Also, the installation of the product is not dependent on the weather since components are cast off-site.
